In the Plymouth Colony in the 1600's, a father must risk not only his life, but also his soul, to save his son. Will Billington and his family live a peaceful life in the Plymouth Colony of Massachusetts in the late 1600's. In a tragic farming accident, Will's 6-year-old son Jonathon kills a little girl. The girl's mother cannot accept that it is an accident and wants Jonathon to be put on trial for murder, despite his youth. Will and Jonathon are from a poor family, but the little girl is from a wealthy and powerful family, used to seeing their wishes obeyed.
